Failed my smog check today
I got a CB7, stock no motor mods and the dam thing failed.
I was shocked.
Did A tune up 3 months ago, adjusted the valves swapped fluids, plugs.
Oil and oil filter swap last month.
Only thing I've neglected so far is the K&N drop in filter I have in there.
Could the air filter be what did me in?

Did you change the distributor cap and rotor. How about your EGR? Clean ports?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Distributor cap and rotor were changed last yr.
The print out says I failed the "Fuel cap Functional"

The gas cap I got at autozone when I left my OEM one at the gas station.
I got really high readings too, is that gas cap related?

Do this and set your timing properly before you do anything else and try again

it passed functional, as in it is connected and is installed in the car. But it doesnt tell you if its actually working the way its suppose to.

I thought Visual meant it was connected and installed and functional was if it worked properly or not.

no idea what crc is, but I might as well seafoam the motor.

well you are always better off finding a knowledgable smog place because they can pinpoint what exactly is wrong so you dont end up spending money on things that dont need to be replaced. But nowhere in the smog check does it check to see if each component is working the way it is suppose to. Becareful of that seafoam crap as it can kill 02 sensors and catalytic converters.

similar to seafoam, $7 at kragens.
"CRC guarantee smog pass" or something like that.
