Default Flow Jet electric oil pump for remote mount turbo

This pump is @ 2 years old. I puchased it to use with my love fab mini me EQ manifold that hangs the turbo so low that i had problems with my oil return line backing up.

I'm ditching my set up for a friendlier set up that will allow me to install traction bars and lower my car a bit more.

I've never had any problems from this pump. It sells for over 200 new. The pump is servicable and parts can be purchased for the pump through Flow Jet and their distributors. It has a viton diaphram so you don't have to worry about the heat of the oil coming out of your turbo burning the seals of the pump.

I'm selling the following items with the pump

vented aprox 1 litre catch can to mount under the turbo and she is all alumn.

aprox 10 ft of high temp 3/8 oil line

a custom wiring harness if you want it. I made it out of a wiring harness from some CATZ fog lights so I had a fuse/relay/and on/off switch for ease of adjusting the timing during tunning.

This car is not a daily driver, during the winter she's not driven for weeks at a time. I have an SI tranny on the sol and on long road trips (6+hrs) i had no problem with the oil pump keeping up with 4,000+ rpms on the hwy.

I replaced the diaphram as pre-maintiance 6 months ago.

The only problem you will have with this pump is heating up during cold weather (less than 50 deg) unless you have a block heater.

Diaphram pumps do not pump cold oil as fast as our 50+psi B series engines so the engine has to be run in 1 min incriments until the tem gauge starts to read. It takes about 20 min to warm up in near freezing conditions.

so otherwise when the weather is cold. let the engine run for one min. Then shut it off, then run the elec pump for 30 sec and re start engine then repeat. It's a bit of a pain I must say but most turbo cars are.

with temps 50+ you can start and run without priming the pump using 5w-30, i never run 10w-30 but i'm sure that 60+ would be fine.

I can explain more in detail on how to properly heat up the unit when cold if your interested.

As stated before, this is only in cold weather unless you have a block heater.

I can also guide you through wiring install. It's farily simple but I wired it through my cruise controll so it would turn off with the turbo timer and turn on with ignition.

I wouldn't recomend this for a dialy driver unless you live in warmer climates because my dates never enjoyed the warm up process on cold nights. I have alot of vouces on here for the car and it's running condition. The pump is still on my car and will be removed when sold.

just ask anyone in the Carolina Cars thread in the APC forum for vouches. We don't have many 300+whp del sols in our area, especially with an electric oil pump.
