7000 rpm whine in the v-tec in an 07 si sedan
occasionally i will get to about 7000 rpms in my 07 si sedan and it has a different whine to it. it doesnt make this sound all the time and i was wondering if anyone else hads heard that or would know if that is a problem or if i am just hearing things. i kno the v-tec kicks in at 6000 and its supposed to sound different but this sound just doesnt seem right when i hear it. please respond if you have any info to help me out. thanks.

If there was something wrong with the vtakkkk solenoid a CEL would have came on. V-tec doesn't engage if your engine is cold so there will be a difference in sound but not feel.

I think 4 kids sitting in the same room all just made hondatech accounts to be funny. Hurray for 07 members 
Just curious also as to why people just dont bring their cars to the dealer these days? Dont you get a warantee with your car for a reason?

my car checked on and what not...i just want to make the most out
of it while the warranty is still up.

Really? What do you have them check for? Weekly check up is pretty time consuming and why didn't you ask them the last time you went there? Since it's at least once a week you have them check on your car.

boin to tha dealership once weekly is kinda waste of time if you ask me unless you drag race it and they dont know. but still once a week in over doin it. go maybe once a month if that.
