Default Headers

I am in the market for headers, and I see the one piece design, the two piece design, the 4-1 and the 4-2-1... What's the difference? This question has been asked a million times on this forum I'm sure... but help me out here. Is there a performance difference? Is it for ease of installation? What???

Thanks

if im not mistaken 4-2-1 is for more top end power and 4-1 is more midrange power.

It's actually the other way around. Two piece are usually slightly easier to install than a one piece is. IMO there's not that much of a difference between most off the shelf headers power wise, between each other. Then there are the high end copies which perform better but at a higher cost and they sometimes have fit, finnish and durability issues. The custom made high end headers cost the most but tend to fit the best, have great quality and make the most power everywhere compared to other headers on the market.

What do you mean by custom made high end headers? You mean high quality top shelf stuff or do you mean truly custom made?

Both generally, the custom/high end headers are made to order from companies like SMSP, RMF, Sigma-six racing, Bisimoto, ANR etc....do a search on here for any one of these names and you'll see what I'm talking about.
