i started my car today and was leting it run to check the enginebay bc i havnt started my car in a while, after leting it run for like 10mins i looked under the hood and i seen a lil white smoke coming from the upper wire going to the alternator, i seen thier was black electrical tape on it and it was melting. so i shut down the engine and took the tape off and then started it again. i seen a llil smoke again not as bad. what could be the prob? i have a volts meter guage and its reading fine about 13.5-14.00 thats normal so alternator should be fine? and i dont see nothing dripped on the alternator.. so i wonder if anyone else had this prob? please help out thanks in advanced hondatech members.
