Car sometimes starts when...........?
when i put my key in the ignition and foot on the clutch and brake and try to start my car it doesn't want to start. when i take my foot off the brake and then try to start it, it stats right up. this morning when i was trying to start it it would not start. even with my foot off the brake.
symtoms: battery is kind of old. got it in i think 03'
when i try to start it, it doesn't crank
finally after a while, it will finally start
i just switched to my friends old ignition switch so i dont think thats the problem

Just fixed this problem in my '90 Si. It's your PFIR (programmed fuel injector relay). It's incredibly common for this part to go bad with cars as old as ours. The part will run you about 85 bucks or so and it's right under the driver's side dash. Unplug the bad one, plug in the new one and away you'll go. If that doesn't fix it or only kinda fixes it you'll probably wanna look into a new or reman dizzy too.
You can also re-solder it for free - it's really easy. You can see the hairline cracks in the joints after you pop the cover off.

Nope, that was in US greenbacks. Sounds like I got ripped off big-time! Either way, this would be the root of your problems. Good luck!
