Are all d-series tranny and motors compatible? i thought that they all were but i remember reading a post here that said there was a d15 block that wasnt the standard pattern,or is that just b.s. the reason i ask is i have d16z6 tranny and my friend wants it for his 93cx hatch because of the shorter gears but before i sell it to him i want to be certain it fit.

 

i believe they all bolt up but they dont all work with each other...

regarding the d17 trans though
-88-91 can't be used in 01-05 because it's cable
-92-00 can't be used in 01-05 because the linkage is waaay different
-01-05 can't be used in 92-00 because the linkage is waaay different

 

so as long as they are the same gen im fine

 

You can run any d17 transmission on a d17. Please search next time.
