Default Ebay coil overs?!?!?!?!?!

Does anybody have a set of these? My brother gave them to be since he didn't use them on his car so I am installing them tonight on my $600 hatchback so hopefully they don't break! I want Ground Control but these are free so I'll give them a try. w00t

The hatchback I purchased a couple months ago came with some eBay coilovers installed. They don't ride very well, that's all I can say about them really.

Yeah, I don't expect them to be good. Just installing for the hell of it. I'll be getting nice ones later on

all ride height changes will effect alignment.

I think you're over dramatic on the loosing control thing but anything done to the suspension affects alignment and it doesn't necessarily mean you will bottom out (unless the person is slammed on stock struts) but of course you can ride at a moderate height on stock struts & Ebay coilovers will ride decent. I know because I've been on them for the past 2 years & nothing horrible has happened yet .. only thing is 1 of the front sleeves are bent; probably from hitting crazy bumps in Atlanta.

its gonna ride like poop. i got a set for my prelude from ebay and theyre great but that car weighs more and i lucked out and got different spring rates for the front/rear. my buddy's ef sedan bounces everywhere because of egay coils...

anyone who says the ride like this is correct. they do. but you can make ebay coilovers ride better by installing 86-89 accord struts in the front (they are shorter) you can also fab up extended top-hats for better shock travel. there are a lot of ways to get better performance out of ALL coilovers.

with ebay coilovers you get MORE than what you paid for. atleast i did. $60 is well worth a year + of riding in a SLAMMED ef.

btw, i have a set of omni power full coilovers on the way. everyone always said to "get good coilovers from the start and dont waste any money" which is a good suggestion if you are going to pay a shop to install ebay coilovers. but for a DIY, you cant beat the value

DO IT!!!!!

i bought a set to lower my eg back in the days i think i paid 60 bucks shipped. everything rode just fine. I would tell you if you had issues it would be in the springs them self. But like i said i never had any issues, but i was running all of my suspension correctly. Front camber kit, rear camber kit, kyb agx sh0cks, and the egay coilovers never had any issues.
