Clutch/Flywheel/Axle/Suspension Install -- Won't Start
Just finished wrapped up with much blood/hours on my transmission and car (first timer) and went to go start the car for the first time:
- car reved to probably about 1.6k for about .5 seconds then dropped down to 0k
now it will crank but not start
I went through every electric connection I could think of and attempted to sand down most of the grounds for better flow
tried giving it gas while cranking like I do on my roomates old carbed jeep but to no avail
thought it was the starter at first but it probably shouldnt be cranking if that is working
flywheel: Fidanza aluminum
clutch: exedy stage 1

okay it magically started and idled smoothly after screwing with the connections for about a half hour..
although whenever i turn on the starter (put the key to the ON position) it makes a strange hissing sound from the intake mainfold area then goes off when the ABS light turns off
then when i turn off the car it makes a wizardly sound from the same area
maybe my EGR valve/fuel rail/fuel pump?
the idle seems to be much higher than before - obviously because of the lighter flywheel - how do I adjust?

Did you check your tranny ground? Make sure it is making a good connection. From the chasis to the tranny.

That is just probally just the sound of your fuel pump.
Idle adjustment scew on your throttle body. Search for "idle adjustment", n00b
Remember that when the car is cold, the idle will always be higher. Make sure you didn't forget about that. Let it warm up and see what your idle is.
- Glad I have no more midnight phone calls for tech questions
