Default 1997 Accord - How do I remove the dash? (Re: Climate Control Malfunction)

Regarding a 1997 Honda Accord.

The dial control controlling the blower motor speed for the climate system fans is malfunctioning. Neither setting "OFF", "1", "2", "3", "4" causes any change in blower speed. Blower is stuck blowing at what I can guess is either the "1" or "2" speed even when the dial is turned to the OFF position.

When the dial is turned, it no longer clicks into place as it passes each position on the dial. How do I remove the dash panel(s) to access the climate control panel?

The temperature control dial to the right of the blower speed dial also gives great resistance to turning either way when the dial is pointed to the direct center between HOT and COLD positions, but when it is forced passed the center, it turns freely to either side - unsure if this may be related.

Is there a Haynes Manual out there for the '97 Honda Accord? Anyone know what generation Accord this vehicle is?

Thanks in advance!

I would first make sure the ***** themselves aren't cracked or anything. Just grab them and pull them straight off.

Default Thanks for the reference to FAQ

Ok wow, so I looked over the FAQ cluster removal instructions.

Before I go and throw a weekend to the wind disassembling the whole dash... should I just plan on replacing the Climate Dashboard Control Unit as opposed to fixing it? Just because if it ends up being unrepairable, I'd have to reassemble it and then disassemble it again when I get a replacement part.

Do the climate control dials tend to go on these cars? I don't have much experience with Honda so forgive my ignorance. Thanks for the help.
