I can say that I have been using Bisi designed cams for over 10 years now... And Web grinds them for him... Web has been doing Honda cams longer than anyone in the business. And in the 80's Jackson Racing had Web grind their designs aswell...

yes, i know about web cams. also gude/bullfrog. those all used to be the "premier" shops to go to back in the day for sohc cam design. i once raced a crx that was fully built in house by bill gude. that thing was quick! of course we know bisi can go fast.

i just have never used any of their products.

i looked into the exospeed site... some nice lookin stuff, and its really not bad at all for the price... just might have to get a mild cam sometime...

question is though, would i be better off going with just high comp pistons? or getting a cam? wich would yield more power? i would do both, but wich one would you do first?

I would do the cam first... It will let the engine breathe better. But the D's love compression with a real good cam.

What is the pricing on Bisi's cams anyways? I'm not in the market for one yet but I can't find a price listed on his site.

You're right. I think it was a header I couldn't find the price of and got confused.

a cam is easy to replace with the engine in the engine bay.

question is now, which one to get.... im probably just gonna be doing a mild sohc build... high comp pistons from the d16a1, and then the cam, only problem, which cam? the stage one or 2? (choices are narrowed down between bisi and exospeed, haha) i wanna make a nice, decent gas milage beast, haha,

call will at exospeed after you get the pistons installed and have your compression dialed in. he'll be able to pick out the right cam for ya.

We have over 13 different grinds for the D-series: grinds that are proven, and dyno tested...afterall, we build the fastest, reliable sohc Honda engines on the planet! Whether you desire a mild street grind, to a gas saver; you want to run 14s, 15s, or 9s....we have the proven grind for you. I guess it helps to have an inhouse dyno

Before purchasing parts, always inquire on proof of success before purchasing from shops. This will save you a lot of headache, and prevent reciept of poor performing parts.

I can vouch for that.... My little d15 stock block & head ran a 14.1@94mph lastnight at the track with one of Bisi's cams and carb setup... In a 1990 LX Sedan.

Well, my car did not break...my engine was tired. That was my 14th race with that 17:1 compression engine, and I was losing mph fast...from 140mph to 132 to 112...I was concerned and pulled out before I damaged anything. Imagine...a 9 second engine with over 130 passes and 200 dyno pulls: unheard of!

We have the technology, research and data to manufacture fast race and street car parts...I hope that clears thing up!
