If you choose not to get the optional LSD, you deserve a swift kick in the ***. Either pay the ~$300 extra for the OEM LSD, or buy a better one (like a Quaife) for ~$830. Research it on http://www.howstuffworks.com.

I agree. Do some research, at least know the basics of the engine swap & components before you buy it. Theres some basic info on the h22 here: http://www.h22a.org/

Totally, do your research, plllllleeease.

Look at me. I don't even own an Accord. I want to make sure I get the right one, and get the right modifications, the first time.

Thats exactly what he's doing here. He's asking a knowledgable Accord community and trying to do his research through us, and we we jump on him like lions on a carcus. Give the guy a break, not everything needs to be done the hard way.

yea, its junk, its not a diff its two metal plates and 4 springs, you place it int he center of the diff and pop the retaning clips off and it pushes outwards on the diff to provide traction

it is junk because all the little metal bits that wear away stay in the fluid awaiting to clown your transmission, and when it fully wears away you have totally clowned your transmission....

Is there anything cheaper than a Quaife that still works good or should I just not waste my money and save up for a Quaife?

Nope. Kaaz would be your other choice, which has a clutch-type differential, but it doesn't last as long as the helical design in the OEM application or Quaife's version of the helical. Cusco may make a differential, but I'm not sure. For some reason, I thought I remember reading somewhere that Cusco produces the LSD differentials for Honda, but don't quote me on that.
