So after recently installing my revo tecnica adj. UCAs, i've noticed over hard stuff (strut/spring combo is sportlines on illuminas) that my UCA is smashing into the top right near the strut tower. My car is B-series equipped and the spring rates are as follows (listing is F1,F2,R1,R2)
.25" - 209, 216, 88, 90
.50" - 220, 228, 93, 94
.75" - 229, 235, 95, 97
1.00" - 234, 239, 99, 101
1.25" - 239, 242, 103, 106
1.50" - 240, 244, 105, 108/7
1.75" - 244, 246, 109, 113
2.00" - 247, 251, 112, 116
I just ordered the Progress tech Type II coilovers, which come with (no-name) 350 lbs/inch fronts and 250 lbs/inch rears. With this jacked up to the highest setting on the spring perch (which they said should be 1" of lowering) and the increase in spring rate (which i see most of the springs for a b-swapped ef usually have 75-100 lbs more spring int he front), should i be good for clearing my UCAs? Or should I just go back to stockers and get a set of the sliding mounts from Ingalls? anyone have this problem before? ANY INPUT is much appreciated, especially experienced points of view.

use an angle grinder to remove a LITTLE material from the LCA's...then if they still hit you have to bash dents in the framerail where they hit. this is a pretty common problem and a sliding type camber kit will most likely interfere the same way....mine did.

well when i bolted them up i moved the UCA all the way up and down untill it bottomed out, and i had heard about it catching the pinch weld. so i cleared out the fender pinch welds w/ a die grinder. it was a smooth cut and not even 1/4" so i dont think it weakened anything. but now since the bswap added a bit of weight up front, i'm low as hell on sportlines and my tokicos have seen better days its hitting the top of the strut tower structure, approx. 3 - 3.5" from the strut mount stud+nut towards. i think maybe the progress coilovers and some homemade extended strut mounts f+r will make a world of difference.

Once again, mine is not rubbing the sides on the pinch weld, the top of the uca where the allen bolts for the adjustments are is hitting the top of the tower.

it is kind of unfortunate. well, my coils should be here early next week. Let's hope the raise in both ride height and spring rate will do the trick. I truly do think the extra spring is gonna make a world of difference, The car didn't respond as well to the eibachs as i expected.
