Default amp not powering off

when i turn off my car the amp to my subs stays on...i am going to mess with it today and i think it is because of the remote wire from the head unit is connected to a blue and white wire coming from my car with no wiring harness....any ideas?

im goin to mess with it and be back

Yes your right, its probably your remote wire. Make sure you have it hook up to a swtiched 12v thats on when you want your amp on.

The blue/white wire is the 12v constant. Is that hooked up to the remote wire to your amp? Are you using the factory head unit or an aftermarket?

you are wiring the remote wire to the amp to a constant, that's why it's staying on. I'm guessing you're using a stock head unit?

ok, sorry for not responding...this was the problem in case anyone has the same...

i had the blue and white wire coming from the car into my remote wire when it should of been hooked up to the yellow 12 v constant wire! so it is that simple thanx for help everyone

noo.... you DON'T want the remote hooked up to constant, you want it hooked up to something that's switched.

well it doesnt seem like the blue and white wire coming from the car, hooked up into my yellow(from head unit), is the remote...

the remote wire goes from the hu to the amp. there is no remote wire built into the car.

stock or aftermarket headunit? you never answered that question.

Get a wire tester... test your wires.. You want to hook up your remote wire to a wire that has power with the key on, and no power with the key off... if you have an aftermarket deck, then it goes to the Yellow wire...
