modifry makes a kit that allows you to use your left side buttons. it's called DCI.

lets buy a 30k$ car and not have a whole set of controls not work becasue we dont want to spend 90$?? i dont think so. if you dont want to spend that much, get the PAC unit that is sold at Crutchfield, its only 50$

not worth it if your new HU comes with a remote.

How often do you really use those controls anyway?

i want to get it so i can close the radio door and be able to control the HU. But 90 is a bit steep.

what glove box? u have a glove box? i want one...

i bought the DCI and still havent hooked it up yet... and yes i feel the same way as abstracthomie... id like to close the door and operate the controls other than the headunit itself... ehhh its $90... it is what it is... everything is expenisve for the S so you better get used to it...

ohh and to the OP... i bought the pioneer 7800BT with bluetooth, ipod controls, and the sweet LCD screen for $299 from etronics.com good people to buy from... had it in 2 days...

some people use them all the time... like me, since my left hand is right there anyways.

when i had the stock radio i opened that door up to set the presets once or twice and that was just about all the daylight it ever saw. now that i have an aftermarket one i sometimes leave it open to see the pretty colors
