tranny problems

Default tranny problems

I have started the car, last nite after i installed my camshafts. and there was no play in the gears. when i turned the car off and then put it in gear it jumped and now i can't get out of gear
i just spoke to a clutchnet rep and now i'm just waiting to hear back from him




I recently bought a clutchnet stage 2 clutch with a 6-7 lb flywheel. the install was a biiotch but we finally got it in. the prob now is that i'm haveing the same dayam probs. i CAN"T get into gear wtf? the clutch was definately gGONNNEEEE so was the flywheeel.
can any one help out there?

I think sackdz had the same problem... the works fine untill you tighten the case down?

Naw coin I don't think he opened up the tranny. My problem occured when tightening the two halves of the tranny together, not tranny to motor. All because I was a we-todd.

Oh well, at least I didn't torque bolts the wrong way

Yeah I'd like to know more about this ...... I have that problem now and my clutch is being replaced this weekend. I hope it doesn't happen to me.

Check that the slave cylinder dowel is movinf and pushing into the shift fork fulcrum. There is a little slit (hehe) that you can stick your finger in while someone presses the clutch. See if its moving.

Have you started the car? Can you get into gear without the car running but can't when it is? If so, bleed your slave and try again.
