tein suspension question
im trying to buy a new suspension kit. i was going to buy the tein super street or flex kits, but a friend of mine told me that eventually the upper mount or some shiat would bust on me. he told me to go with buddy club. is there any truth to his claim? i would like to know if anyone has had problems with their tein suspensions.
I'm running Tein Flex's ... I've had them on the car for 2 yrs (10+ days on track + 20,000 miles daily driving around town) ... I've had ZERO issues to this date. Both companies make a good product ... you'll get better customer service with Tein since they have a big operation based in the US.
I've never heard of upper mounts or the like failing ... I know of a couple cars running my identical setup on track ... all with no problems.
Tein =

I've got Tein Basic. They are so good I wish I would have not been cheap and gotten one of their higher end set-ups. For mine I had to use parts from the stock suspension per Tein's manual on the install (you know, the parts you're concerned about) so I can only vouch that the brand is a good one. Tein is known because they are a good brand.
ive had no problems in the past with tein and neither have my buddy who has them on his dc5 and had them on his eg.....i have tein flexs with about 4000 miles on them for sale..... im askin 1100 obo.. let me know.

I have a set of tein s-tech lowering springs and set of campers, i am not sure if i should put them on my car? With them on, will be ride be similar to stock suspension? Anyone with lowering spring and stock struts on? How's your ride like? I am thinking i should get the full damper kits. Should i just go with the lowering springs with stock struts? Anyone? Thanks in advance.
We have never had a problem with the TEIN suspension setups that we have sold in the past. Tein is a reputable company that puts out quality stuff.
our cars seem to blow stock struts with lowering springs faster than the older cars (i.e. DC/EG/DA). plus, the ride would be pretty bad, it'd be bouncy as hell

currently im riding on s techs with stock struts. ride is actually really good! and it rides smooth. hopefully the shocks last a bit longer. the tein basics arent all that good IMO.
