Default b16 crx Si, won't start.

first off, long time away from HT, the army and iraq pulled me...
anyway...

1990 crx SI with b16a1, all obd0 pr3 chipped.
ran find when parked....
sat for 3 years with 3/4 tank of gas.....

i got the car back not running, with a fuel pump not working, and a blown Soleniod fuse.
replaced to fuse, replaced the pump (255lph)... replaced Main relay, and fuel filter with all new ...
was getting no fuel to cylinder...
ran fine with starting fluid...
replaced the injectors with new OEM (91 acura "teg LS sourced)...

sits currently like this... runs ok with starting fluid....
throwing no codes....
but randomly throws a solid cel if i throw a pm8 in.

i do have a fuel rail and FPR (aem) to install...

any ideas?

I hope you drained that 3 year old gas and replaced it with fresh gas. Does the fuel pump prime when you turn the key on? Is the gas getting to the fuel rail?

Did you test the injector circuits to make sure that they are working? If fuel is getting to the rail, then the last stop is the injectors, which you said you changed for new ones. I would double check the injector wiring.

I have no fuel pressure..... as in, after the prime, i can crack the
filter bolts loose, and it doesn't squirt out.... just leaks out.
installed a aem fuel rail/fpr combo, to no added improvement..

fuel pump def runs, before (prime), and after key release (a second at most after)...

I think no pressure is my issue....
but i am doing a full wiring test tomarrow...
going through the entire wiring trouble shooting list...
going to hardwire the pump to see if it starts then....

i'm thinking perhaps that the pump i got doesn't work right.... (guessing of course) a fuel pressure gauge is enroute, but it might be monday before it gets here...

If the fuel pump was priming, there would be pressure in the fuel system. The only way there would be no fuel pressure with the fuel pump priming would be if you had a leak in between the pump and the fuel filter.

Another suggestion for you, check your grounds, especiallly the thermostat one, make sure it's nice and clean. Also check the wires for continuity. I had a similar issue with my EG, replaced a bunch of parts, and it turned out I had a bad ecu ground which is grounded on the thermostat.

Here is an easy one, check your gas cap. When i swapped my crx with a b16 i installed an aftermarket fuel rail. When i tried to start it i had no fuel pressure!! Check everything only to see the gasket on cap was not sealing causing fumes to escape. Fixed my pressure problems

OK...
it WAS running...
i had it running fine, with a filter change and a few cycles of the pump hotwired to check flow...
was running good with 2 issues...

ISSUE 1 : crank pully was seperated into 2 peices (rubber gone) so it was sqealing... (fixed after a few trips to a b18a in the pick-a-part)

ISSUE 2 : at key on.. my tach shoots to 1 g... my coolent guage PEGS the cold side... and when i revved the tach would go down instead of up....

CURRENTLY : i had it running for about 45 min... went to move it... and stalled it out (wheel blocks still in place) and it hasn't started again.

sooooooo.......................... any more ideas?

Did you check the ground on the thermostat housing?
