I got a obd1 GSR. it has rod knocks.

Its either I rebuild that, probably rod and crank is gone.
and maybe have to resleeve.

Or I pick up a 98 short block with spun rod bearing.

What would be easier to fix and less cost efficient?

Is there a difference between the 98 gsr and 94 gsr short block?

 

both are bad...if they knock then a bearing has spun and everything is ruined...just get a long block...
