R is in the shop now
Dropped it off a couple hours ago for the slight rebuild. I decided to go with JDM ITR pistons and a slight head mill (10 thousandths), along with of course new rings and the recently acquired 98 JDM ITR ECU. Looking forward to getting the car back and after the break in, seeing how much of a difference I can feel with it.

What does a typical car with my new setup put down on a dyno? Tried searching google but found nothing that actually shows the dyno or numbers.
Hope it will be done today. I went by and looked at the process so far...Number 3 cylinder was oil soaked and the valves on the number 3 head are all jammed up with carbon deposit and other crap. Should be MUCH faster and better running after the fix and build.

It is too hard to say BUT typically you will see about 5whp from JDM ITR pistons untuned.

you should break her in on the dyno, see if Joe can get you in ASAP tomorrow or Saturday. Like i said i rebuilt with that same CR youll have basically and it melted down. plus tuning will make it feel so much better everywhere ya know
Yeah, we'll see what happens. It will hopefully feel pretty good after some break in. I work the next 4 days so maybe I can contact him after that. I will just be curious to see what kind of power it puts down. Don't know how much tuning can be done without something like a VAFC or better...
Whats up punk. Your Si will be NO match for my car, and it never was. Ha ha! I have not been able to get on it yet, but the car runs great. I figure I will drive it around for about 500 miles before I push it. Right now just been doing half throttle or a little more to about 6-7k RPM. Can't wait! I want to get it on a dyno too soon.

You "can't" push it before 500 miles passes? I remember being told that if you get a new block, for example, to drive the crap out of it for 500 miles so everything works/seals properly? That may not apply to your situation, which is why I am asking.

I was told to not drive it hard for the first few hundred miles. I am taking the revs up to about 7k though frequently at half throttle and then letting it rev back down in the same gear. Just like as if you were buying a new car. Most Honda owners manuals state to not drive full throttle or at constant speeds for the first 600 miles.
So far it feels good. You can tell it wants to keep pulling in just at the 6-7k RPM I have taken it to so far. Still has perfect super quiet idle too!

Awesome, I wish my gf was into ITRs. She has her '07 Civic (auto) and loves it, but isn't really into cars. She puts the key in and it goes.

Haha, EXACTLY my wife!
She's exited to do the cross country trip for Expo though.
Mr. and Mrs. THE ONE, you guys gonna come hang out this weekend with us?
