Would be Good Exhaust Setup??
hey guys is 2"-2.25" header - 2.25" carsound - 2.25" custom piping - 2.5" SNL twin loop muffler. Would this be a good setup with that 2.5" muffler? Would i be losing power because it is too big? Does anyone know any good/decent 2.25" Twin loop out there? Thanks alot guys ;D
Sounds like a decent setup, and a good size for a mild 4-cylinder.
The larger diameter through the muffler won't really hurt anything, it'll just be a bit louder, and a bit more resonant. Larger piping generally sounds more "hollow" with smaller piping before it.

No problem. I find that questions like this are pretty subjective, and can't quite be covered by "searching" the forums. Unless exhaust acoustics and flow characteristics are covered somewhere here on Honda-Tech in lay-man's terms, I wouldn't have expected you to find what you were looking for anyway.
All the necessary backpressure your engine needs to properly perform should be taken care of by the manifold and your piping being appropriately sized - 2.25" is fine for a mild motor. The muffler, while to an extent makes a difference in performance, doesn't make a noticeable amount. Really, with a street car, the exhaust system isn't milking every ounce of performance out like a race car, it's more for sound and looks. That being the case, sound and looks are taken care of by adding that twin-loop muffler.

Okay, now this is somewhat of an ignorant question.
There is no specific muffler that will get you pulled over. Every car has a different exhaust note, and every car has a different exhaust intensity. Also, police officers aren't all the same, and their idea of "excessively loud" is based on their personal opinions and local restrictions. One officer might think your car is too obnoxiously loud, where another could shrug off yours as being mildly disturbing.
Just buy the muffler you want. If it's loud, add a resonator. If it's quiet, get a straight-through muffler.
