Hey everyone i new here!!!!! ok i have 95 civic d16z6 motor auto my idle is low about 500rpm i have check tps volts which is good timing is good. ICAV is good, Map is good and i am not getting no cel. I used the tb screw but when the engine is warm it does not make much difference for adding more air. but the car will die if i screw the idle all the way in. i have not tooken off the tb to clear behind, will try that this weekend. my throttle cable is good etc.

 

Pull the alternator belt and give the pulleys a spin. If theyre starting to seize, they will lug the engine, especially at idle.

Something to try.

 

puit new coolant temp sensors in. when ur car is in closed loop it doesnt read the coolant temp, but when it goes into open loop then your car cant read the temp of the cooant cuz your sensor has corrosion or sludge on it due to a bad coolant/water mixture. check that

 

i just got done check my idle with a engie analzyer and i reset my idle by helms honda book when i finish the step the analzyer showed 750 in parked then a few seconds late the idle drop to 650 and would idle steady and then sometimes it would move forward to 700 then back to 650 but it did not make my engie surge at least i could not hear anything. i am stomp at this point. i am going to take off my cat and run stra8 pipe to see if i have any blockage. any tips will be helpful.

 

650 to 700 is hardly a fluctuation and would be considered by many a good idle
