Viper 5900 into 2000 civic si ?'s
I am trying to install my viper 5900 into my civic si and I have a few questions.
1. Do I hook the H2/4 green/white (-) factory alarm rearm with the door lock green/white (-) of the keyless module together? The manual says to use a relay, but doesn't the car already have one?
2. Same as above only for the the H2/6 factory disarm. Do I hook it up to the door unlock green/orange (-)?
3. Where do I find the trunk sensor wire? And what color is it? And how do I hook it up?
4. Finally, will the dei 508d work well enough as a motion sensor? Rather than going with the crime guard au94t?
Thanks in advance.
Dave

I allways unplug the factory alarm because theived allway try to go to that unit first to unplug it. Then follow your taps to the alarm brain. I get the wires the like door lock and lock in the driver kick pannel as with door trigget and trunk release
No you don't have to use the factory alarm outputs.
Best way to spot the trunk wire is to go to the trunk latch and look at the wire color as they vary somewhat.
508D sucks. IT SUCKS. IT TOTALLY SUCKS. IT COMPLETELY SUCKS. YOU'D RATHER HAVE IT DISCONNECTED THAN USE IT AT ALL. Get a DEI glass break sensor.

Lol, I'll try to find the glass brake sensor. I've already hooked up the door lock and ulock wires like I posted, was that a correct way of doing it?

There's a sensor that tells you how fast your glass is slowing down??

Yeah, I didn't bench prep anything. I installed the brain and all the sensors and switches and now I'm trying to get all the wiring done. I haven't labeled the wires, Im just hooking them up one at a time.
No, the sensor doesn't sense how fast your glass slows down....lol. It senses the frequency glass makes when it brakes.

Ohhh... Wait... I'm still confused... When glass brakes, how does it press the pedal?

close you eye's mr hatch, lol. This is what a preped alarm looks like. I tapped it up so all the alarm wires were toghter. This one is going into a factory harness for a full stealth install. You can flex loom it and make it look perfectly stock. I do it on a basic stealth installs and you cannot tell whats what.

And here it is installed

Forget I said brake. All the sensor does is trip the alarm when it hears glass being broken.
Can anyone help me with my questions????
