Well, i have a 96 EK hatch. My problem is that the other day i was moving the temperature around to see if it worked bc im soon sellin the car, but when i moved it to HOT or the Red side it got stuck and i cant move it back to the cool side. Does anyone know how to fix or whats wrong?

 

ANYone have any input? i wanna get this fIxed, the HEAT is burning me up

 

that happened to me too but i wiggled it and soon it moved so try that and if it doesnt work hopefully sumone can help..

yeah it happened when winter was over, i moved it one day and it went over. But now i tried to jiggle it back, it wont go. Maybe i have to get a new thermostat/slider or w.e. but thanks for ur input.

try rompving the lower piece where the phone chargers at and the slider is a white plastic thingy look and see if it stuck on sumthing!!

 

yeah i unscrewed it yesterday, but didnt take it all thje way off. I just looked at it. I'll probably be doin that today. Hopefully it is stuck on something, so i dont have to buy another piece.

 

yea that lever moves from side to side, hopefully it is stuck...

 

ok so i removed that part u told me to. I looked underneath and i dont see anything stuck. Its p'n me off right now, and making me frustrated. Any other ideas?

 

look under and the gap u see from ur seat... u could also see undr there look at where the lever is and try to move it from there if not just follow where evre it leads to and check there.. it should lead u towards the inside of the climate control..

 

yea i looked where the lever is and everything to find out why its not moving, and i cant see anything. WTF!

 

thats strange..too bad ur far if not i would take a look at it... but when that happend to me it was actually the button itself on the outside it got stuck ont the black part that has the blue and red lines!!

yea mine was driving me crazy too, then my gf pulled it a little and moved it left at the same time and wala!! thats why im getting married

so i found the problem to why its not moving. Theres that cable part that is hooked up to the slider which if u move one way it goes inward, if u go the other it goes outward. If i move it to the left which is cold, the cable is suppose to go in, which it isnt doing, its suck for somereason. and i been nudgin for a good 10 mins and still not moving. hrmms?

 

see there u go, just try to see the part thats stuck and get it unstucked...
