I look out the window when I get to work to see a stock PY pulling in that I had never seen before. Like any other ITR owner, I quickly dropped everything and ran outside as fast as I could. Turns out he is havivg clutch issues at 58k miles. The caR is bone stock and its badge # is 00-1204.
I thought it was cool Just thought I would share to see if anyone has known this # before in the past.

That's always a cool experience.
I was delivering about 45 minutes out of town, I go in the Exxon to pay for gas, I walk out, and bam, an F/NBP Type-R chilling right next to my van.
Perfect condition, still had original badge number... But it looked like an old lady was driving it, HUGE straw hat, granny bathing suit, pink iPod Nano. So I didn't bother waiting around, I thought I'd look kind of crazy to this lady.
Turns out, RStoR met the owner of the caR (A dude, apparently his wife was driving it the day I saw it), and the guy had no interest in the fact that they had the same car.
So my gut was correct.

did you introduce him to HT?
I always wanted to meet someone with an R that wasnt really familiar with what the car was, and find out how much they knew about it and its accolades and theft issues.

I DID. He was a total noob. Never met any other owners. Never AutoX'd, track, nothing. It was pretty cool. When I showed him mine and told him about Expo and everything he looked completely amazed at this whole world he never knew existed. Hopefully he finds his way.

You so just reminded me of what I did yesterday...
I played the elitist card...
Saw a "PY" and as I got closer I noticed... side moldings... sun roof... 4 lug...
So in "haterade" spirit of things, I yelled out my window as loud as I could... FAKE TYPE-R

That's pretty cool
A couple weeks ago, I finally met the PY owner I've seen around Buffalo. He's pretty big into AutoX (DS) traveling around the country for Pro-Solo?, but never heard of ITRCA or Expo, so was telling him all about that and our awsome event at VIR this year. He seemed interested. Cool guy, and I'll prolly see him regularly as I'm gonna be giving autox a shot around here.

My funniest experience running into a random ITR owner was when i was coming home from work, i was about a quarter mile from my place when i saw a PY in the parking lot of a barbershop. Naturally, i cut the wheel and pulled up to park next to him. He was in his late 40s/early 50s id say, dressed in a business suit and as i parked, he was on the cell phone. He then looks at me, looks down and notices the ITR sticker on the side, smiles and says on the phone "im gonna have to call you back."
I apologized for interrupting but he said "You kidding? Youre the only ITR ive seen in this area. Not everyday you get to meet a fellow owner." Guy was cool as hell, first owner, kept her immaculate, 40000 miles, still had the window sticker and all. Gotta love the ITR community.

Hell yeah Shawn take him under your wing! There's a kid in town here with a PY that used to be pretty heavy into street racing and all that other garbage, I finally had a talk with him about how bad *** the track is and how much fun Expo is. He's the guy that bought my old Apex 99spec N1 coilovers. He's pretty exited about getting on the track, I'm going to take him to a couple of Auto Cross events first but it seems like he's getting to know his R a lot better.
