with those numbers i would definetly think you need to get your bottom end rebuilt, your valve adjustment wouldnt throw off the one cylinder that bad unless you had no idea what you were doing, and even then it wouldnt lead to burning oil, take a cap full of oil and drop it down in that same cylinder and do a before and after compression check in that cyl

if you do compression and its low, then put in oil and it shoots up its your rings, if you put in oil and it doesnt go up its your valves

i think that if im burning oil then it has to be my rings
but with those number altough they differ 180 is suppose to still be pretty good compression....

180 is good if they were all 180, but 180 is bad when compared to the 230 for the other cylinders

its like a 30 percent difference which means its definetly in need of a rebuild, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, i recall factory specs say within 10-15% acceptable

well when i bought the car not too long ago the was just freshly rebuilt so i dont think its that unless i screwed it up breaking it in.

as far as rebuilding your talking about getting new rings?

so doing a wet compression test will tell me if the rings are bad?

man and i hate bad news

how much you think im looking at to get this fixed

new rings are around 50 dollars (hasting rings at autozone) and a fresh hone shouldnt be more then 100 dollars plus labor unless you do all the work

pics added, also if leaking is coming from bad valve seals would that through of my compression or is compression through off by valve seating?

compression check only checks for valve seats and rings

Oil burning can also be caused from leaking from valve seals
