new clutch required in dx and hf swaps?
i heard this and wanted to find out if it's true or not. i ehard that if you swap anything more powerful into a dx or hf (4gen), you need to upgrade the clutch to at least an si because you need the extra grip. true?

Well it obviously depends on what you are swapping in. If you are going with B series then of course you would have to get a b series tranny too. For D series, i would recommend upgrading the clutch if you don't already have an Si tranny, we are talking 4th gen right?
I am swapping a 94 Sohc VTEC (d16z6) into my 89 LX (DX, HF, same engine), i went with a 93 Clutch, pressure p, flywheel setup. If you are going to upgrade your clutch with a stock Si one, try to get a 90+ clutch, pp, flywheel because it has more splines=more grabbing surface. hope this helps.
