Need New Lug Nuts for new Rims??????

Default Need New Lug Nuts for new Rims??????

Im currently rolling on steelies, but will soon upgrade to spme aftermarket rims. Right now im thinking some rotas or MB motoring's. My question is will I need extended lug nuts???

No... I had a 98 Civic Coupe, went to rotas and used stock lug nuts with no issues.

Aftermarket rims have tapered lug holes. Stock rims have ball-type lug holes. You'll have to buy "tuner" lugs that have tapered ends.

Although you can probably roll on stock lug nuts like Doos, and it will probably be fine for awhile, it's incorrect and might cause damage to the rims.

EDIT - You only need extended lugs for use with extended wheel studs.

Correction... I was using Kyogeun lugnuts... however you spell it. For some reason I thought I was using stocks...

No. Not in most cases.

With extended wheel studs - which are often used with a wheel whose spoke design requires spacers to clear the brake calipers - open-end lug nuts are usually best, rather than extended lug nuts.
