Ok well i searched an searched and couldnt find anything on this one...

Well i closed my door after i got in, went to gas station, went to get outta car, walaaaaa, doors not opening... i checked the lock an everything, seemed like all was fine, so i think what could it be... well i hop out passenger side, go get gas, go home an now im stuck... i've been tryin for like 4 hours to get this damn thing open an im having no luck whatsoever... i got the door panel away enough to see the assembly and everything seems to be working fine, when u click lock, the lock rotates, when u open handle, the lever moves an all... what i think my problem is, is that that plastic peice that closes over the latch has somehow got stuck.. i've taken off the outside door handle as well for better view and i still cant manage to get this thing open... i've pried, pushed, pulled, ect... anyone kno how the hell i can get this thing open "without smartass comments"..... thanks in advance...

Anyway, the mechanism in the top middle of the first pic in his thread is the thing that releases the door to open it. see if you can get to that, and move it directly.

The rest of that thread is talking about the release latch for the lock, coming from the inside, so watch to see if that moves when you switch the lock back and forth.

Also, have you tried locking/unlocking the car with the key? maybe something is bogged down.

sweet dude, thanks for input... i seem to have made it that far, i just cant seem to get inside that lil mechanism... the levers and all are working fine, it seems that whatevers connected to the levers "that little white plastic peice i believe thats inside the door an closes on the bracket/hinge thats mounted to the car" is whats broke possibly... now i mean im sure i could salvage all the parts i need from the local junkyard but is there any way to get this door open without breaking anything??

edit - these are manual doors also...
