Default question about how to take off a handle part

So im trying to take replace my front door handles with a set of keyless door handles but I am stuck at one part. How are you able to take the rod off for this step, with the pic as a reference. Here the guy suggests to use a flat head to take the c clip off, but I tried and it wont work. Are there any other ways to take the rod off?

if your trying to take the bar on the bottom left of the picture off all you have to do is push the plastic piece down and it unclips then pull the bar out...

What type of keyless system are you installing?

I put one in an EG that looked like this (taken from an Ebay auction, so sorry if it goes down, first pic i found):

Anyway, how the actuator works is, it moves a rod connected into your stock rod's location to act as the inner door lock. So, as the guy below posted, remove the rod from the plastic clip, mount in your actuator, and then cut the rod to the right length, and connect one end through the actuator and then the other through the same stock clip.

This has worked fine for me, and if this is the style keyless entry you are installing, then you do not have to take apart that assembly.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by blanco617 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">if your trying to take the bar on the bottom left of the picture off all you have to do is push the plastic piece down and it unclips then pull the bar out...

x2.

The plastic clip rotates, then the rod can be removed, without having to remove the c-clip.
