well i got my fire suit,my cage a car capable of needing a lic.,chute the whole nine yards. I go to get my physical and my doctor has no idea what nhra even is,he runs some blood work on me knowing im diebetic,and my levels ckecked out o.k,but there are two boxes to check one says physicly able and the other says requires furthur examination so he checks the furthur box screwing me all to hell. tell me there is a loop hole,he said he was not gonna deny me because he knows i will be fine and then i look at it and this is what i found do i still send in the form or what should i do

There are plenty of Diabetics that race. It is the racers responsibility to make sure he is feeling well before he gets in that car.

Steve Topletz Blacks out for god sakes!!!! He has totaled 5 race cars and still has a license.

Your doctor was just doing his job and was maybe being a bit overprotective. (At least he cares) He was also propably confused by the form.

Go back to him and explain or go get a second opinion from another doctor.

BTW, I pissed in a cup so they could check my sugar levels, they did not take any blood from me.
Go to another doctor, if that doctor sees something he does not like............then you may have a problem and need to check into it further, before you get in the car.

I was kinda hoping someone from nhra would respond there smart guy,I guess the question im trying to figure out is should i just send the form in as is or will they flag me because of the furthur examination box being checked i think my doctors head is still spinning.he kept saying it is just like trying for a d.o.t medical,or a cdl and i kept trying to explain it was nothing like that

I am a diabetic and your dr did screw you over. If he or she thinks your are in good health they should have checked the first box. My dr had no problem with it and maybe you should explain it alittle better.

if he did your blood work & it came back u were healthy he should of checked the first box.

i would go back & talk to him & bring another form.

& if he still does the same then u can stick him in his sh*t & go to another doctor.
