Default New Prelude

Well while on my way to check for leaks in my a/c in my 92 prelude, my step dad calls me and tells me about a 1994 prelude si, for sale. to make a long story short, im the proud new owner of the si. But the cars got some problems maybe yall can help me determine whats wrong. For one the power steering squeels really bad, also the car burns oil, and throws smoke out the exhaust. what do you think the problem is? does it need a valve job or .....???? not sure. But other than that its cherry and 100% stock. Im switching my volks, mugen wing, and steering wheel over and my azect eyebrows to the new car as well

Have you changed your oil since buying the car?

well no, i havnt even picked up the car yet, its at the bodyshop. but the previous owner said they had to add oil every 2-3 weeks, that it burns it, no leaks on the floor. My friend said it could be the piston rings

do a leakdown test ...that should give you a good idea of what is faulty...

power steering pump could be the problem with the squeeling. Just listen to the power steering pump with motor running using a doller store stethoscope. If you hear grinding its f*ked.

Also, smell and look at the ps pump oil from the resivoir. If its blackened/dirty/impure than thats another indication that things are bad in that system.

flush the power steering fluid. if it burns that much oil thats not a good sign.
