I tuned my hondata today, and they dynoed my car. I got 153 hp and somewhere between 111-130. I dont really remember and he didnt give me a print out.haha. but it was really hot out so he said that my hp was a little lower than it could be. I am also going to fontana on saturday or sunday to see what I will run the 1/4's in.
what did you guys have at the dyno???and do you know if this was good for me or n e thing?? thanks

 

Well my stock base line run was 150whp and 117torque.

With the mods you have listed I would think your HP should be higher but tq could be in that range.

 

the guy tuning said on his computer he thought i would be around 160 -165 and he doesnt know why my hp was that low- even around 147 a couple times

 

160-165 would have sounded a little more reasonable.

 

like 4 people at the shop were like betting on my car. haha. the lowest was 159 highest was 168 but the other two were 165 and 163. They were all really surprised when it came out. you think dyno could be messed up or something?? cause I know heat wouldnt make 10 hp difference.

 

Well honestly I don't know that much about dyno's but the hotter it is the less power you are going to make. As to how much a difference it makes I have no idea. On my baseline it was 90+ deg.

 

 

that is how hot mine was, and like they had no real cooling thing, maybe a 10 dollar fan from target that wasnt even dooing n e thing
haha. its cool though, as long as I am running good at the track who cares how much power I am getting to the wheels

your numbers are pretty low to me, you should be around 160-165range with your mods, i have a built ls motor that has 168whp and 136lbs

 

I'll hit u up man. I may go to palmdale either weds or friday night. Elevetion/weather sucks though! Last time i went...i was only able to hit 15.2s. But people with the same setup and better...were @ 15.9s so I wasn't disappointed.

You should get some cams and gears next.

 

I was planning on my valvetrain next-- prolly skunk 2, then gtting a stage 2 cam. but I was planning on turbo by the end of summer

 

I have a buddy of mine with close to the same mods and he was running at 162whp. The temp was 70. Most likely heat played a part in robbing some of your power.

How many miles are on your GSR?? You may want to think about doing a comp test and then possibly a leak down just to check the engine over for problems that usually occur with high milage cars.

 

yea your dyno seems awfully low....i thought youd be hitting very high 160's
