your head will be fine. the cam duration/lift isnt extreme.

only thing of concern: piston to valve clearance due to really high domes on PCT's. I dont know for sure... but be sure to check that out.

has anyone ever used the setup with sucess? I already have the CTR cams, but I too want to know if CTR pistons are more trouble than they're worth.

 

well if u can tune it good then u should be alright. the compression is over 12:1 due to gsr head cc. other than that u should be cool.

 

whaty do u need to do to tune it correctly

 

an engine management system and tune. no vafc bullshit.

 

yea my homie has CTR pistons in his GSR motor pretty fast his comprss is 13.1 i think. 1300cc sms header. flywheel very little stuff so dont worry much. but always 100 OC.
