popping

Default popping

in my 90 hf when i let out the any ideas as to what could be causing this?clutch when im in gear and when i press the brakes

Might be a bad motor or trans mount. Is there any play in the steering wheel?

i have the same problem. i check the motor mounts for loose bolts but all were tight. i prob just broke one

Just a visual inspection or did you actually pry at them / move the engine and trans to see if they're not sound?

well i just rechecked my mounts and i ripped 2 do you think if i put the energy suspension mount inserts in them that it would cure it?

I knew it. You can try to do the inserts as long as it's only the rubber portion that's damaged.

i lifter the car on a lift and took the mounts apart and they were ok but it may be the radious rods, ill check when i ger a chance

i tried finding the inserts at a a bunch of auto parts stores but none of them had it. i remember reading before that someone put some sort of caulk inside of the mount it self to make them more solid. does anyone know the caulk used?

It was 3M window sealant.
