note: driver never been to track. also not the most aggressive driver.

science of speed sells the comptech.
i don't understand how some s2k diff can handle 500 whp and some can't even handle stock power. must be some kind of manufacturing defects. i can't believe that honda would let this problem continue even after the release of the AP2.

500whp?
honda can always blame that the diff was broke due to racing.

it's just honda's way of telling you that drag racing is a waste of time.
Maybe the previous owner had some fun with the car?

Ive put my car through its paces for 17000 miles and I am an aggressive driver. Dont confuse that with abusive because there is a difference. I haven't had a single problem with the differential or the car for that matter. I don't think my differential is different from that guys. The day I bought the car, I spoke with the service manager at Honda who is a pretty cool guy. He told me the main problem with the S2000 are the parents who buy their kids S2000s and the kids since they don't know how to drive the car and misshift 3rd -2nd bending or breaking the valves. He says its pretty common and the customers always try to blame the car.
you know i don't believe its just driver that causes this problem. we are talking about a cast housing. air bubble in the cast is a weak area. maybe thats the problem not sure. i am just thankful it wasn't my car.

we all do realize comptech is out of business. tried calling them, # is disconnected. </TD></TR></TABLE>
One of the guys who worked at Comptech ended up buying out the company name and all the rights. Hes supposed to be moving everything about half an hour south of its original location to Rancho Cordova. Not sure when he'll have everything up and running again though
