Axle Install
so i just replace my LX tranny with one from an Si, but now i cant seem to install the axles back in, there just not going all the way in and bottoming out like helms tells me to? I just dont get why?
try wiggling the inboard joint with your hand...if that doesnt work hold the axle straight and hit the end with a RUBBER hammer this helps the clip pop into place.
rubber hammer or a sideways hammer on the axle can help force it in. Axles arent going to go in easy, so dont go easy on them, some manhandling is required to get them in, just dont hit them too hard.

theres a ring in a groove at the end of the axle, if they've been removed a lot that can get a little too much play in it, i've had luck removing it, and pinching it a bit.
sledge hammers are good too...
