integra brakes
Id like a little feedback on some parts. What do you guys use for brakes? Oem honda rotors and pads or Autozone brands? and how much milege do you guys get out of them?
i'm having great luck with brembo slotted rotors and hawk HPS pads. I've been to several auto-x's and a track day. I know the pads will need to be replaced next summer but i think i will def get at least 2 summers out of the rotors. I'm very happy with the set up. I think i may go alittle more aggressive up front next year, i'm thinking of trying hawk HP+'s next summer. Lots of brake dust tho. I would recomend getting a high temp fluid too this will help alot.
Autozone had some sort of warranty on their rotors, I don't remember what it was but a lot of people get the autozone rotors... if the search worked then you could use that...
Pads depend on what you're using them for.

I've never had good luck w/ autozone rotors....just spend a few extra $s and get the brembo blanks. Given I will still put autozone rotors on my 90' grand prix....but I assume you care more about your car then that.
Just replaced my rotors and pads on Sunday. Autozone rotors, decent price, warranty, etc. I went to O'reilly's and got Wagner thermalquiet brake pads. They're pretty solid.
Eventually I'll spend some time putting high quality, very expensive rotors/calipers on, but for now they're solid. Wagner thermalquiet pads are
If you're going to replace them yourself, get some wd 40 and/or a torch to help you get rid of the 3mm phillips screws. They're a bitch to remove. I didn't put them back on as they are absolutely useless and would just cause more headaches along the way.

As far as pads, I'm a big fan of the Porterfield R4S compound. NO dust (probably even less than OEM), no noise, no extra rotor wear, and damn they stop great for a street pad. Mine lasted something like 60,000 miles in the front, even with 1.5 years of autocrossing. I still have my original rotors, 126k miles and 13 years.

Slotted, drilled or dimpled rotors offered as OEM replacements should not be considered appropriate for high-speed track use.
While grooved, drilled and slotted rotors offer an enhanced appearance and add some resistance to the boundary layer of gasses that can build up between the pad and rotor, they are not designed to withstand the extreme temperatures that are produced on the racetrack. If they are used on the track, it is very important that the rotors be carefully inspected and should not be driven on if even minor signs of deterioration are seen. Note, too, that if these products are used on the track they are not warrantable. From the Tirerack...

Thats the CYA because they were most likely sued because previously they stated that x-drilled rotors were awesome and improved your cars braking performance so much. Then when somebody hit a wall at 150mph because their brakes sucked ***, they sued and now tirerack says that. If that were the case, then porsche, AMG, M3/5/6s, and all the "race ready" cars in the world wouldnt be running slotted/cross drilled.
