In a way, yes. Tony(yellow/green rx8) got hit or hit another car @ Turn 1.
It was probably his teammates who got into him.
Dan, in the Fox body Mustang taped the wall on Day 2 @ Turn 3. He got comfy, then saw the barrier too damn fast as he said. It's about a 50ft. wide exit.
Quoc's DriftSpeed(pink 240sx) motor wasn't running as good we he wanted all weekend. At the end of the demo, I recalled he said he lost 4th cylinder. FYI. This is BRAND NEW car. Little to no practice time.
The course overall, this yr is better than the previous years. The best turn to watch racing from general standing admission is always Turn 3. You basically get to see two turns. But typically for the first lap, I'd stand in the hairpin(turn 1).. That's when the champ cars go about 175-180mph then brake and do a complete short u-turn. That's where most of the passing is throughout the race, and probably the most exciting.
Majority of the track is 3 street lanes wide. This yr, they put a lot more barriers on the sidewalk, so it seems bigger.
