intercooler fins
what are you guys using to straighten the bent fins on your intercooler? tried searching but its not working. i also tried a small screw driver but it doesn't work to well

These are the pliers I use. Nice and small so you can also pick out rocks and bugs. Most needle nose pliers are serrated on the inside, but these are smooth.
I've only used them on my Greddy Type 31, which back in the day cost me $675. Not exactly cheap. I'm not saying you can reach all the way inside, but the tip is perfect for flattening out bent fins. Radiators are higher density, by the way.

I just had no luck with those pliers. They might work ok if the fins are really bent up.
I was looking at my cat's brush just now... might work good for cleaning.

I'm starting to wonder if I posted a pic of the wrong pliers. The ones I have came in a foam padded vinyl zipped pouch along with other types of small pliers. Anyway, the color is the same. I've also seen them in red and black.

Nah, not for me. Tube and fin is better for a daily driven car. Call me crazy, but I kind of like more air reaching my radiator.
Bar and plate cools better, but it's more of a drag racing intercooler. I just got a 24x11x3 PWR that should be more than enough for my limited goals. I'm pretty sure that all the intercoolers that Full Rape uses are PWR tube and fin.
