Default Noob Turbo Question

Ok I have a question about the whole turbo thing. I dont know much about turbos, I kind of have an idea about how they work and everything, but I still dont understand one thing. So if you have 2 cars same turbo manifold everything. Same amount of boost, intercooler and piping.

Now if both motors are running 8 lbs of boost and one has a ported head and the other is stock which will make more power? I think the motor with the ported head will make more power since it can flow better. However now thats it ported how does the boost pressure stay the same?

Also if you had a diffrent turbo same size, but it flows more cfm it will make more power, but the boost is still the same. How does that work.

The difference is that boost is a measure of pressure and cfm is a measure of airflow.

yeah I kinda understand. So If you have a ported head and a stock head both running on 8psi with the same everything (besides the head) both motors will be boosting the same amount however the head that is ported will make more power because it is flowing more? It seems to me like that has potential to damage the motor because more air is being forced through the motor faster.
