picked up GSR pistons...install question

Default picked up GSR pistons...install question

i picked up some gsr pistons for my ls/vtec engine. im swapping the LS pistons out for the gsr ones. i want to do this myself. so heres my question...will the gsr pistons bolt up to the ls connecting rods? do i need new rings?

they dont "bolt up" but they will fit. and yes you will need new rings. reusing the old ones is just stupid.

when you say they dont bolt up what do you mean? what mods will i need to do to have them fit?

i simply mean it's not a bolt up affair like you'd think with an intake or something. you have to press out the pin, remove the piston, install new piston, and re-insert the pin. if you dont know how to do it take it to a machine shop. shouldnt be too expensive.

sounds good. thank you for the info! im going to replace the headgasket as well correct?
what will these pistons bump my compression ratio to? approx...

also, how much of an improvement should i expect with these vs my ls pistons? i hear don the ls/vtec the ls pistons are garbage

10:1 with GSR pistons. and yes you should always replace the head gasket when removing the head.

ok today when i replaced my spark plugs they had a little bit of oil on them...whats that mean?

thats your valve cover gasket or spark plug seals. You should Replace the valve cover gasket evertime you open up the valve cover. You can get a valve cover gasket kit from acura for like 30-40 bucks.

im gonna guess its my spark plug seals...i havnt opened the valve cover since i have had the car.
