What are the best ways to cool motor?
I added some water-wetter and my engine ran noticeably cooler afterwards...just going by the stock gauge; it was always a bit below half, blocking the bottom of the icon, now I can see the whole water symbol.
You should be a little more specific. If you are talking about keep the block/head cooler, a bigger radiator/water wetter/cooler thermostat would do the trick.
If you are talking about lowering the intake temp, alcohol/water injection is probably one of the best ways to do it.

A radiator with some fans is a really sweet combo to keep the engine running cooler.
heh....seriously tho... upgraded fans help keep the temp down.

many ways to keep things cool...
installing a triple-core Toyota 2JZ-GTE radiator with 2 huge fans prevented my Civic from overheating, especially on those 5th gear redline runs at high boost.
(seriously!)
lifting up the rear of the hood with some washers and nuts, acting kind of like a spacer, helps with the air circulation in the engine bay when the car is in motion (click on my Civic in my sig and look at the pics carefully if you don't quite understand what I mean)
I find that water wetter did do anything for me.. but if you connect a switch to your radiator fans, and wire it up to allow you to toggle between "ON all the time" and "ON depending on the thermostat", I find it helps a great deal too..

yeah except dish washing detergent doesn't hurt your hands and water wetter BURNS. there must be something else in there too
Nathan can you give me some tips on how to set up a switch for the fan wiring? Did you get the wires from around the fuse-box area or from the fan itself? I also want to re-wire my thermoswitch so that it runs off of +12v instead of IGN2, that way the fan can stay on even when the car is off (better not leave the switch on though or goodbye battery!
