Default 91 crx si low cost upgrade ?'s

hey ya'll, I recently purchased a 91 crx si and I have some questions. I had a previous post, but this one will clump it in. I am a poor college student and want to put what little of my money into this car. my ideas were a rear strut bar, short shifter, intake heat shield, and cold air intake (depends on price). i have been reading k20a.org posts for a while but would like some input on what specific brands i should go with. my only specific question is for the short shifter will the buddy club 88-00 civic short shifter work on the 91 crx si? thats all, any input on other good low-cost performance upgrades would be nice too, thanks!

Low cost and performance don't really go together. My best suggestion is save your money, get through college then upgrade later.

x2. For any noticable gains, your going to need money.

For starter performance mods, most people do intake/header/exhaust. However depending on which setup you go, I/H/E can be expensive. It really depends on your budget.

get a FRONT strut bar before the rear, there is actually some debate as to whether the rear strut bar does anything at all.

as for cheap mods, ebay intake is a good start.

I put on the upper front, lower front, lower rear strut tower bar(s). It does help. I just dont like the rear one in side the hatch...
Kinda bugs me when I want something there..

It helps keep the chassis from flexing...
