Default no vtec after IM change on gsr

ok i swapped out the stock gsr IM and put in a Blox IM, now i plugged in a P73 ecu and there is no vtec now, i also tryed pluggin in a kenji chip ecu P06 with a single runner and a type-r maps still no vtec? ok but when i plug in the gsr ecu the freakin vtec works what is going on?....could it be my knock sensor some times it throws a CEL?..i just replace the TPS sensor, it was cracked, broke one of the silver tab(pin) inside, could that sensor not engauge vtec? if anyone could shed some light on this. thanks

Do you have a JDM or USDM engine? JDM engines do not use an oil pressure switch for VTEC and the USDM's do. IF you have a JDM engine and the ECU you have is from a US car, you will not get VTEC unless you add the pressure switch. I'd start there...

no i have a usdm b18c and the ecu is jdm but before i changed the IM i tryed the p73 and the vtec did work so but this is all before the knock sensor was going bad?
could a bad knock sensor make the p73 to not engauge vtec?

yes, a bad knock sensor can make vtec not engage
