Who can give me the 411 on taking the arm for the window winder off and also the seat belt? i know there are 10mm bolts to get htem off the door panel but the part thats connected to the door itself i cannot figure out becuase its just a round bolt like thing that i dont know how to take off. any help would be great.

obviosuly you cant. you need a special tool to remove them.

yeah man, i want to know this too, but its kinda to late!!!!!!lol i just bent the door panel and forced it off the window handle winder thing.lol

 

yeah im just taking them off to get them reupholstered ITR style with the tweed and red stitching, but i cant get the window winding arm thinger off either without breaking it. anyone know this?

 

Its a C-clip, either get a c-clip remover or use a pair of needle nose pliers.

Get a service manual, its in there.

 

yeah i had one but i let someone borrow it and havent seen it in months.so is the C clip behind the doorpanel?

 

ok. use a flathead screwdriver and push one side of the c-clip off and for the other side use something skinny to hold it. if you push it down hard enough you should see the bottom of the c-clip. i hope this makes sense. of course you wont do it in one try. but that how i did it and it works fine...

 

I believe my Haynes manual instructs you use a rag and wedge it in between the panel and the handle and pull up on it to remove the c clip.

 

well i looked for a c-clip and i can only see a styrofoam thing thats behind the panel but i also havent put my all into taking this panel off cus theres 300 other things im in hte middle of for my car.
