2001 Accord Drivers SIde Auto Window Won't Work
Hello everyone. I am new here but see that there are some pretty knowledgable people here. My problem is that my drivers side window won't roll down or up. I can hear the motor turning, but the window isnt moving. After I took the panel off (along with that white plastic crap) I can inside the door a little and it appears that there is some slack in the cable. It seems pretty difficult to gain further access inside the door to really take a look of what the problem is. My questions to all you pros are:
1) Is there anything more I can do to gain further access inside the door so I can see what the heck is wrong?
2) Has anyone else run into this problem on their car? If so, were you able to fix it? If so, how?
I really don't want to have to take it to the dealer because I know they will rape me and I really can't afford that right now.
Thanks for your help.

I drive a 97 so its not quite the same as yours but ive had this problem with my drivers side door and right now with my passenger side door.
The only real way to fix this is to replace the regulator which is the cable. In my car the regular is one piece with the motor so i have to replace the entire piece which is about cheapest online $130+shipping.
I had someone come to my house and fix my drivers side for $250 and i felt like i was ripped off because of how easily he did it. Took him maybe 20 minutes tops.
The auto parts near my house bumper to bumper has mine for $150 and if you bring the old junk back in they said they will give me $35 back so its around $120.
Like i said before your car is a newer model so this could all be different for you so hopefully someone with your gen can help you out with how easy it is to just buy a new one and replace it yourself.
Also take a look in the archives using the search button to see if anyone else has experienced this problem.
