Default Okay to trim clutch pushrod?

After replacing the clutch master cylinder, the clutch pedal, although properly adjusted, sticks out way too high.

Based on your experience, what could be the reasons for this?

If no other solution can be found, could I just trim the pushrod an inch or two with a hacksaw?

What do you think, based on your own knowledge of clutches?

Alot of DSMer's do it. I don't know how it would work out with your Accord though

I believe I understand what you're describing, but I don't see how that's even possible.

I know the pedal isin't infinately adjustable when trying to get MORE leverage on the clutch, but It does allow for plenty of adjustment to move the pedal down.

My fear with trimming, is that you would trim too far, so that the pedal no longer has enough leverage to fully release the clutch disc. And believe me, this is not a fun scenerio.
