Only a few of the tires with the Advan name have made it to the States, and most do not come in sizes for older Civics.

I've had 4 different sets of ES100's. They're great tires, if you don't mind the lower tread wear. They stick real nicely to the road in diverse weather conditions (humidity, precipitation, etc...).

They're wrong. It's a very good tire. It grips well on dry pavement, is excellent in rain, and lasts a reasonably long time (25-40K miles). You can read more opinions about them here, and see side-by-side comparison tests here.
They're also just about the only good summer tire you can buy in the 185/60-14 size you need.

Probably about 5K miles. The A032R are track tires. They have a lot of downsides for street use. Not only do they wear fast, but they're no good in rain (better than some other track tires, but not as good as just about any street tire) and they won't give you much warning before losing traction.

I don't know what you mean by lower tread wear. We're on the second set on the GS-R. The first set got over 40K miles and they weren't even worn down to the treadwear indicator bars (although they were getting close by that point). That was longer than any of the other tires we've used on that car.
YMMV, of course.

i will put in another good vote for the yokohama avs es100's.
they grip very well, but that 25k-40k treadwear does seem ambitious. i have put maybe 300 miles of mountain driving, with about 3000 miles of normal driving and at this rate, i think they will last 12k-15k max.

Then something is wrong with your car's suspension, or its alignment, or your tire pressure gauge (assuming you're checking pressures regularly), etc. Otherwise there's no way that the ES100 would only last 12-15K miles, assuming they're properly inflated, mostly normal driving, rotated regularly, used till the treadwear bars show, etc. No way. I know not everyone gets the same treadwear, but it's never off by a factor of three. (And I know that it's possible to get over 40K miles to a set, because I've done it myself.)

i run them at the manufacture specs. toe and caster are at spec, but i am running natural camber (no camber kit). this is causing wear on the inner portion of the tire, but the rest of the tire seems to be going quicker than i had expected.
at this point, i sort of wish i had gotten azenis instead since it never rains here.

Mountains driving is fun and will wear out the tires quite a bit. I had multiple sets of Azenis wear out within 3k by going up every night of the week almost. Then again I have a set of them on a Corolla station wagon and those have lasted over 18K already and show very slight signs of wear because its used primarily for driving to and from work on the freeway at the speed limit heh.
I've had customers wear out ziex512's in a Honda Fit in 1 month and he barely put on 8K miles.
Tire life largely depends on driving habits and what you subject the tires to.
