i have a B16a2 and i want to upgrade the internals. i am looking to add cams, pistions and rods. was wondering what is the best set up i can get for those three. i have hurd skunk2 stage 2 cams are amazing and eagle pistions and rods are good but i dont really want to get eagel pistions and rods unless there is nothing better out there. i have about 1500 to buy this stuff with so what is the best and i am turboing it later so just if that helps for later things

 

Get eagle rods and pistons, they own.

BTW: Are you doing an NA build or are u planning on boosting?

You can go vitara if you're boosting, but I don't think they make high comp apps.

There are MUCH better rods out there than Eagle...
You need to do REASEARCH, not just ask questions about cost and what is best (because that is an opinion, not a fact)

 

with $1500 you should just turbo it on the stock internals.

good for 330-350 whp with a good tuner. With a good valvetrain the stock bottom end is good for 400-500 whp.

I'm trying to find the b-series stock bottom end whp thread. The 1-4 guys all had over 400whp on stock rods/sleeves.

 

check out Akmee for your cams. i think they have some better prices than some of the big names but the quality is the same.

but really, this isn't the place to ask someone how to do your car. that's your choice. you need to look at all the things you want and decide what will fit your app. if you can't do that yet you need to learn how, otherwise you will never get the results you want, you'll get someone else's results.

when you think you know what you want, run it by some guys here who have used similar products and brands to get some feedback. otherwise you be the builder.

 

Turbo cams and N/A cams are completly different (same with pistons) . So if your going turbo you might want to hold on the cams. I vote for turbo.
